Seva

Seva for Narmada Parikramavasi

Most pilgrims travel from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra to undertake this circumambulation of more than 3,000 km. They carry minimal weight and have few facilities along the route — a gap our Trust works to bridge.

A detailed survey report on facilities required for Parikramavasi — covering the stretch from Rajpardi to Mithi Talai (Dahej) and all tirth kshetras and ashrams en route — was submitted to the Gujarat Pavitra Yatra Vikas Board.

Our Achievements

Impact & Outcomes

01

Narmada Cleanliness Campaign

A comprehensive survey identified sewage drains and outlets discharging directly into the River Narmada. The report was submitted to the Government of Gujarat and the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB).

verified

Achievement: An investigation has been initiated, with further action currently in progress.

02

Causeway over the Bhukhi River

To enable safe movement for Parikrama pilgrims and local villagers, the Trust proposed a causeway over the Bhukhi River to the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board and the Roads & Buildings Department.

verified

Achievement: The proposal was accepted, and the Government of Gujarat has initiated the survey process.

03

Two Bridges in Narmada District

The Trust proposed two bridges — Rengan to Rampura, and Shehrav to Tilakwada Ghat — improving connectivity for Uttarvahini Parikrama pilgrims and reducing travel for villagers, students, and farmers from 32 km to just 2 km.

verified

Achievement: The Government of Gujarat approved ₹304 crore for the construction of both bridges.

04

Sanatan Dharma in the Curriculum

Representations were submitted to the Ministry of Education (Gujarat and Government of India), requesting inclusion of Sanatan Dharma, Hindu scriptures, and pilgrimage sites in the school curriculum.

verified

Achievement: The Ministry of Education, Government of Gujarat, acknowledged the proposal and responded positively.

05

Survey of Pilgrim Facilities

Under the guidance of the Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board, the Trust surveyed 25 of the 147 identified pilgrimage sites and temples along the southern bank of Bharuch district.

verified

Achievement: Essential facilities — toilets, bathrooms, and paved walkways — were provided at Vishva Mangal Ashram, Vadodara village.
